BKS 10k Charity Race Astana 2010

| Details: Organisers: The British-Kazakh Society and akimat of Astana Participants: companies and individuals welcome Sponsors: Air Astana, KIOGE, CCC Supporting organisations: Radisson SAS Astana, VITA, Wolrd Class Information Partner: EUROBAK Med Partners: Radio Energy, World Monitor We are hoping to raise substantial donations for charity organisation supporting veterans of World War II, as well as brining attention of the Kazakhstan public to an admirable work Astana Municipal Council of WW2 Veterans does. We have organised a very successful 7k race last year and hoping to gradually build a full lenghth marathon in Astana, firmly placing the city on the world marathon map. Apart from the charity cause, the race is aiming at promoting healthy life style and involvement of participants ranging from KZ, UK and multinational companies, embassies based in Astana and ordinary citizens of the capital. Our charity race motto is "They gave that we might live". |
