BG Group is an integrated gas major. Active on five continents, the Groups business is the exploration, production, transmission, distribution and supply of natural gas to established and developing markets around the world, as well as the generation of electricity from gas-fired power plants.
BG has been active in Kazakhstan for more than a decade. It is joint operator of the giant Karachaganak gas condensate field in north-west Kazakhstan and a shareholder in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
BG also supports a number of social and educational initiatives in Kazakhstan. Most recently, BG has become a founding patron of the Kazakh British Society, formed to build closer relations in all fields between the United Kingdom and Kazakhstan.
