The Chagala group is a real estate developer and investor focused on developing a large variety of properties in different cities within Kazakhstan. It has a diverse portfolio of hotels, serviced apartments and office space catering for the increasing demands for quality space and accommodation from businessmen and skilled personnel working for the international oil and gas industry within the region.
We formed the Group in 1994 in order to exploit real estate development opportunities related to the emerging offshore oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan and the region in general. We opened our first facility in 1995 in the city of Atyrau on the Caspian Sea and, to date, Atyrau has been our prime area of activity.
Atyrau is the administrative center for the oil and gas industry in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea. It is the base for the development of the Tengiz field, the largest operating fielding Kazakhstan and the Kashagan oil field, the biggest oil discovery in the world in the last 30 years.
The Group has successfully grown together with the fast- developing region. We are expanding in the other centres of oil and gas operations in West Kazakhstan namely:
Bautino, the supply base for the off-shore oil industry; Aktau, the major Kazakh sea port with oil-loading facilities; and Uralsk, the regional centre connected with Karachaganak gas field, one of the biggest gas condensate fields in the world.
