Interview with Olzhas Suleimenov

In honour of the 30th Anniversary of Semipalatinsk nuclear test site closure in Kazakhstan, the British-Kazakh Society and Nevada-Semipalatinsk Anti-Nuclear Movement present an interview with Mr. Olzhas Suleimenov, the Founder of the Movement.

Mr. Olzhas Suleimenov is a poet, library scholar, public figure, and diplomat. Suleimenov became a worldwide name in 1989, when he led the anti-nuclear movement Nevada-Semipalatinsk to campaign for the closure of the nuclear sites in Soviet Union and United State of America.
