BKS Webinar: The Bolashak Research Internship Programme – its impact and future changes
The prestigious Bolashak Scholarship programme enables high achieving students from Kazakhstan to undertake study at prestigious universities around the world.
This year 136 of the scholarship holders are studying for a master's degree, 8 are studying for a doctorate and in addition 127 Kazakhs will undertake internships at the best universities and research centres in the world.

Gazel Abilezova сompleted a research internship in the field of 'Additive Technologies' at De Montfort University - Leicester from June 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024. She is currently working as a Lecture at the Department of 'Mechanical Engineering' at the Kazakh National Research Technical University.
Assem Kalykova сompleted a research internship in the field of 'Green innovation. Bioengineering-Genome Engineering and Applied Biotechnology' at the University of Westminster from September 25, 2023, to June 23, 2024. She is currently working as an Acting Associate Professor of the Department of 'Fundamental Medicine' at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Makpal Abdinova completed a research internship in the field of 'Finance' at Heriot-Watt University from September 4, 2023, to August 30, 2024. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of 'Economics and Business' at the International Information Technology University.
