Rt Hon Lord Astor of Hever PC DL was appointed a BKS Fellow at a special ceremony at the House of Lords on 23rd January 2025, for his outstanding contribution to the growth and development of the British-Kazakh Society.

He was presented with a special certificate by Rupert Goodman OBE DL, Chairman of BKS, in the presence of HE Kathy Leach - HM's Ambassador to Kazakhstan, HE Magzhan Ilyassov - Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Court of St James, and Minister Sayaset Nurbek - Minister of Higher Education of Kazakhstan.
